CHINESE MALE CHAUVINISM

In this project, I want to discuss Chinese male chauvinism. In Chinese traditional thought and hero image admire, it’s regional and national. In life, how Chinese men through dressing-up, language and behavior to show their manhood. This is my focus point.

Finally I decide to study the interesting side of Chinese male chauvinism. They are born with cynical attitude and control everything, behave high-above. Also about the gender surpiority is also worth discussing.

Chinese men like to play the Chinese Buddha bracelets on their hand, and they are thinking and reckoning while playing with these beads. Without saying a word, it fully shows restrained and calm personality in this action. The action of toggling a string with a finger is applied to the design of the ring to design a structure that can be moved and fully display the toggling action.

This action of rotating two balls in the palm of your hand shows a manipulative, arbitrary, high attitude, and behind the rapid rotation is a playful attitude based on the traditional behavior of the Chinese male culture. I combine this traditional state with the wearing of jewelry to make the playing process more interesting.

The gourd shape of the pieces, there are two ways to wear, one is worn on the necklace structure and the other is mounted on the ring structure, while forming a turn action with the formation of a state of cynicism and even ridicule. Chinese men are seldom willing to directly indicate their own goals and thoughts. This seemingly disrespectful attitude is usually a disguise to cover up their true thoughts. This kind of behavior is also a way of expressing a scornful attitude toward other people and things.
